Have you ever heard of Northern lights or Aurora ,for those of us who have never visited a country close to Artic circle  it’s a little known fact that natural light display in the Earth's sky around the Arctic and Antarctic and its pictures itself makes us wonder if it is some kind of magic or we are on some other planet other than earth.

The lights, which are also called aurora borealis, show up at night when the sky is dark. It’s like a celestial ballet of light dancing across the night sky, with a colour palette of green, blue, pink, and violet.

Auroral displays appear in many colours although pale green and pink are the most common. Shades of red, yellow, green, blue, and violet have been reported. The lights appear in many forms from patches or scattered clouds of light to streamers, arcs, rippling curtains or shooting rays that light up the sky with an eerie glow.

Some places were we can see these magical lights in the sky are

 Alaska, USA, Northern Canada, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Russia, Sweden, Greenland.
