The Great Rann of Kutch is a salt marsh in the Thar Desert in the Kutch District of Gujarat, India. It is about 7500 km² in the area and is reputed to be one of the largest salt deserts in the world. 

The Great Rann covers an area of about 7,000 square miles (18,000 square km) and lies almost entirely within Gujarat state, India, along the border with Pakistan.

1. Dholavira

This is a very unique place. Dholavira is world heritage site of harappan time. The best part of place is its uniqueness as a island surrounded by the salt. Best time to visit Dholavira is from Nov to Jan every year. Both sunrise at one end and sunset at other. Such a mersmerising feeling.

2. Kutch Museum

3. Mandvi Beach

4. Aaina Mahal 

This a must-visit in Kutch/Bhuj. The palace is an indo-gothic building and spendid interiors. The underrated part of the palace complex is the Parag Mahal archives library. 6. Hamirsar Lake

Hamirsar Lake is known as the heart of Bhuj. The lake was formed over several decades, by developing canals and tunnels to bring together water from three river systems to recharge acquifier, to meet the water requirements of Bhuj. It has a beautiful garden at its centre. Hamirsar Lake is the favourite spot of families to go swimming. The lake also provides the perfect picnic spot where one can enjoy and relax under the shade of trees.
