The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success ( Book Review )

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success is a small pocket guide that changed my life and a something that I will cherish and reference forever. I read this little 96 page book during the Covid quarantine. Just like being quarantined changed my life, this book changed my life for the better.

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success was written by Deepak Chopra. He is one of my favorite life advisors. This book will only take you one hour to read and something that I suggest you read whenever you loose your enthusiasm for life. In one hour, you will gain a new outlook on life and gain so much wisdom.

Mr. Chopra talks about seven principals that you can apply to your daily life. The laws are designed to create success in all areas of your life so that you can live a full life. The laws are also designed to create the energy that you want to have and receive in your life.

Most importantly, the book states success (life) is not, just about material abundance and things that you acquire, but that success ( life) is about having great relationships, positive energy, good health, and an overall great outlook on life.

Many people often get success (life) confused. While it is nice to have a beautiful home, a brand new vehicle, and lots of money. Keep in mind those things that don’t make you successful, especially if you have negative energy, bad health, and unhealthy relationships.

Below are the 7 laws of success (life). I highlighted the points that stood out to me most. However, I highly recommend this book, so you can find the points that stand out to you. This book is a life changer for anyone that is open and searching for personal growth and development.

1. The Law of Pure Potentiality.

Knowing who we really are gives us the ability to fulfill any dream we have because the same field that nature uses to create a forest, a galaxy, or human body can also bring about the fulfillment of our desires.

Deepak Chopra

According to Mr. Chopra, to experience this law you must just let things be, take time to be silent, practice non judgment, and commune with nature. There are more ways to connect in the book.

2. The Law of Giving and Receiving

Everything that comes to you isn’t something you earn, but a gift freely given by the universe, which means it comes from a deep awareness of what you need.

Deepak Chopra

According to Mr. Chopra to experience this law, you must give a gift to everyone you encounter, whether it’s a compliment or prayer. Be open to receiving. There are more ways to connect in the book.

3. The Law of Karma or Cause and Effect

When we choose actions that bring happiness and success to others, the fruit of our karma is happiness and success.

The Law of Karma says no debt goes unpaid.

Deepak Chopra

According to Mr. Chopra to experience this law, ask your heart for guidance, witness the choices you make in every moment, ask yourself 2 questions. I will not give you the questions because you should buy the book.

4. The Law of the Least Effort

Do less and accomplish more. Practice defenselessness, which means the need to convince others of your point of view.

Deepak Chopra

To experience this law, accept people for who they are, take responsibility for your situation, and relinquish the need to defend your point.

5. The Law of Intention and Desire

Whatever we put our attention on grows stronger in our life; whatever we take our attention away from withers and disappears.

Deepak Chopra

To experience this law make a list of your intentions and desires, release your desires, and practice being in the moment.

6. The Law of Detachment

Anything we want can be acquired through detachment, because detachment is based on the unquestioning belief in the power of self.

Attachment to money and security only creates insecurity, no matter how much money we have in the bank.

Deepak Chopra

To experience this law one must practice detached involvement, accept uncertainty, and remain open to all possibilities according to Mr. Chopra.

7. The Law of Dharma or Purpose In Life

Self exploration isn’t a task we accomplish and then abandon. Every person is a never-ending project of the universe.

Finally, to experience the law of dharma make a list of your talents and ask yourself “how can I help?” and “how can I serve?” And there is so much more and that’s why I highly recommend this book, it’s a true life changer, however you must be open to receive the information. I am truly grateful to Mr. Deepak Chopra for writing such a wonderful and life changing book that I can share with my child and future grand children.
