Poetry books to read

Poetry is an art. It soothes your pain, emotions and feelings. In the world of rupi kaur, there are some budding poets who stuck a string in my heart. Poetry warms up my heart and rekindles the spark in our lives. Some of the recently published poetry books are:

  1. Unstoppable wild

The universe took its time to craft you to offer the world something different from anyone else but when you doubt how you were created you doubt energy within you."

"sinners / would tell you the best stories saints / will go to their beds alone. unlike every saint has a past and every sinner will have a future."

Unstoppable wild is a collection of poems straight from the poet's heart making its way on paper.

I always adore poetries. I love reading raw pieces of emotions that speak out their hearts oozing out words ; soothing and warm.

This book talks about life, the woes , the sufferings and everything in between. It is the concoction of all the emotions one feels through the journey and more.

It talks about self love , the human hypocrisies and love and warmth of loved ones. It talks about hope that keeps us alive and the dreams we weave.

Everything about the book made my heart ooze with love ; making me cry and smile whenever the poet intended to.

I liked the cover of the book so brownie points for that. Enjoyed it.

Before diving into the review, i would like to say few things here. If you have noticed, I did not rate this book. Novels are writings that makes you see through the eyes of the author , or what the author wants you to see. But , poetry is something that comes out straight from the poet's heart. The emotions are raw, and that cannot be rated in few stars . And hence no ratings.

๐Ÿ“Œ The book is a collection of poems written out of love, unrequited feelings and sufferings. It is the essence of various emotions every human feels throughout their lives. The feeling of love, the pain of losing someone we love, the hopes and dreams we saw and failing to fulfill them.

The poems are soothing to the soul and take to the poet's heart and make you feel everything she felt. Or may be , acknowledges you to the pain you once felt , that got buried deep within you. The pain you felt when you had to let you your heart, and the hopes that kept you alive. The book has it all.

The language is easy and her way of writing is fluent. I loved the cover of the book. It's cute. Overall , it's a nice book and I would recommend this.

  1. Tu thodi der aur theher jaa

This book is published by someone I know or acquainted with. This review is completely unbiased and honest.

Poetries can also be considered as 'Love child' of the author. He writes what he experiences or feels. I feel this book and the shayaris in it were an escape for the author from what he was going through. His pen bled what he felt and that's beautiful.

I loved the shayaris in this book. They immediately struck a chord in my heart. The words were so soothing and painful at the same time. The book talks about unrequited love, your lover and everything we experience in love. Indeed pain is a synonym for love.

I liked how vulnerable he was in this book fearlessly penning everything he felt. I applaud you for that.

I felt the font of the book could have been better. Well this is my personal opinion of course. The cover is beautiful . I liked the book.
