   TO HOLD POSITIVE ATTITUDE

In general, having a positive attitude means being optimistic about situations, interactions, and yourself. People  with positive attitudes can remain hopeful and see the best even in difficult situations.

positive attitudes can include:

  • It is looking adversity in the eye and keep laughing.
  • Getting what you get, and not pitching a fit.
  • Enjoying the unexpected, even when it’s not what you wanted originally.
  • Motivating those around you with a positive word.

Your attitude at workplace can impact your career as well as your general opinion on life.

Having a positive attitude in the workplace won’t necessarily make you better at your job, but it will improve the way people view you as a person, so they may be more inclined to help you succeed and cheer you on.

Preaching positivity is easy. Putting it into practice and being genuine about it is more difficult. Give your time and ask co-workers how you can help them out if you have a free moment. Volunteer to take the lead on new assignments. Be kind to everyone and genuine – do not gossip constantly or spread rumors.

MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY

Your mind is a powerful thing. If you allow yourself to keep a positive state of mind, your attitude will follow

  • >   Interact within positive environments and with positive people. Do things with people who reinforce you in a positive way. Go places that have special meanings and positive memories or associations.
  • >   Volunteer. Do something that will help others. This will give you a sense of fulfillment and make you feel happy inside.
  • >  Get pleasure out of the simple things in life. Laughter is one of the most powerful mood enhancers. Allow yourself to laugh.
  • >  Permit yourself to be loved. Everyone deserves to be loved. Everyone is loved.
  •    Take responsibility for your actions, thoughts and feelings. No one can make you feel any way that you do  not want to feel. Accept that no one is perfect and that includes you. Be proud of your accomplishments and the hard work you’ve done. Use the moments when you think you have not succeeded as learning experiences.

   To Be A Good Listener

According to a study published in the journal Science of Nature, being a good listener is actually a really attractive trait to have, especially for men looking to attract women.

A good listener doesn’t moralize. They know their own minds well enough not to be frightened by strangeness. They know insane we all are. That’s why others can feel comfortable being heard by them. When we’re in the company of people who listen well, we experience a very powerful pleasure, but too often, we don’t realize what it is about what this person is doing that is so nice. While you may not necessarily be a good speaker, you can develop good listening skills by using different techniques.

The main goal of listening to someone attentively is to ‘put yourself in the other person’s shoes’ so that you ‘understand’ their viewpoint better.

> Good listeners tend to do well when it comes to developing key social relationships like meeting new people, attracting partnerships, socializing with colleagues, but also in private life like marriage, dating, etc.

> A person with good listening skills is more likely to empathize with their partner and colleagues too, as compared to someone who is a shallow listener.

 > A person with fully developed listening skills is also equipped with good problem-solving skills because they get to the core of the problem before coming up with a solution. There are fewer chances of miscommunication when you listen to everything with attention before communicating the message to others.

DIFFERENT WAYS FOR BECOMING A GOOD LISTENER

Not many of us are good listeners because it requires developing good listening skills through dedication and practice. However, developing good listening skills is not exactly rocket science and they are various techniques through which you can become a really good listener.

Here are some of the great ways you can improve your listening skills and achieve the goal of becoming a really good listener over time.

1. Focus On the Person Who Speaks and Look In the Eyes

One of the most important factors that play a major role in becoming a good listener is creating and maintaining eye contact with the person who is speaking. When you look into the speaker’s eye from time to time, it shows that you are actually interested in the conversation and actively listening to what is being said.

2. Limit All Distractions

With so many distractions around us, truly listening to another person is more like a challenge. To become a good listener, try getting rid of all distractions that may interrupt the conversation  between you and the other person. Limiting all distraction during a conversation not only shows that you care and value the opinion of the other speaker but also shows that you practice good social skills.

3. Be Patient and Let Your Partner Speak

Nothing more annoying than someone speaking out of turn in the middle of a conversation. It distracts the speaker and leads them off-track. Also you would not want the same to be done to you when it is your time to speak which is why it is more important for you to remain calm and be patient enough for the other person to finish speaking before you begin.

To Be Honest and Be Yourself

Every person in this world is unique by its own. We observe different things in different ways. Therefore, be yourself and there is nothing wrong with your unique outlook or opinion on anything. Also, keep in mind that honesty works everywhere and it always lasts in the long run.

When you are honest with yourself, you accept your weaknesses and flaws. You may know what some of those are. You may know what you are capable of and what you aren’t capable of.
