I am sure the word "Dora Cake" or "Dorayaki" brought some childhood memories. Yes, you are right it is Doraemon's favorite snack! You'd be surprised to know that its name isn't "Dora" Cake because of Doraemon, it was just called Dora Cake or Dorayaki since years in Japan. However most people around the world know this snack because of Doraemon. Growing up we all wanted to know what it tasted like right? What is it about Dora Cake that Doraemon is ready to risk it all? Here, I have written a easy-to-follow recipe to make Dora Cake at home, using some very basic ingredients.

Servings: 1

INGREDIENTS

1 Cup of Wheat Flour

½ Cup of Powdered Sugar

½ Teaspoon Baking Soda

Milk Powder (Optional)

1 Tablespoon Honey

1 cup milk

Oil/Butter

Nutella/Chocolate

STEPS

1. Take a bowl and sieve wheat flour, powdered sugar and baking soda. Mix them well.

2. Pour ¼th cup of milk and whisk. Gradually add all the milk and make sure the batter made doesn't have any lumps and is of smooth consistency.

3. Put a pan on stove and brush it with oil or butter. You can also use a tissue paper to make sure the oil is spread uniformly on the pan.

4. After the pan is heated, pour ¼th of the batter. You can also use a very small bowl. Make sure all the cakes you make are made from the same bowl so all the sizes of your cake pieces are same.

5. Cover the lid and let it cook for 2 minutes at low flame. After that, make sure that it has a tawny-brown color, remove the lid and flip the cake and let the other side cook for 30 seconds (low flame). Continue this process and make 3 more cakes like this.

6. After all pieces are cooked, take one piece and uniformly spread Nutella or any chocolate spread on it. Make sure you spread it on the light color side of the cake. Take another piece and put it on top of the piece you spread Nutella on. Gently press the sides of the cake.
