The recent episodes of Disney+ original WandaVision took the show’s intensity a whole new level. The first few episodes started in a very light tone with giggles. However in episode 4, the show took a very intense turn as we start to see what the outside world is like.

(Younger and Older Monica Rambeau)

Episode 4 starts with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) coming back to life after the hulk’s snap to bring back everyone that Thanos wiped out in Avengers: Infinity War. In case you forgot who Monica Rambeau is, she was Monica Rambeau’s daughter and they were both seen in 2019’s Captain Marvel. We later see in the episode that Monica got wiped out by Thanos’ snap and after 2 years, her mother Maria also died of cancer. So when she comes back she finds out that her mother had died 3 years ago. The scene then transitions to Monica going back to her normal life where she works as an agent at S.W.O.R.D. which was built by her mother, Maria. The past years S.W.O.R.D. was under Tyler Hayward (Josh Stamberg).

(Left- Jimmy Woo // Right- Darcy Lewis)

Another familiar character we see in this episode is Jimmy Woo, the FBI Agent from Ant Man & The Wasp (2018), and Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), who we saw in Thor (2011) and Thor: The Dark World (2013) as Jane Foster’s younger sister. In this episode we see these two characters working together and showcasing their dynamic as a duo. We also get to see a glimpse of Wanda’s power for the first time since her stellar 1v1 with Thanos, as she throws Monica out of the ‘hex’. The stellar performance from Elizabeth Olsen was very commendable as you could almost feel her anger and pain, with a slight of horror she ensued on Monica. After this, there’s also a jumpscare as when Wanda looked at Vision, that imagery is how Vision ended up being in Infinity War after Thanos forcibly took out the mind stone from his head.

(This is Wanda's last memory of Vision)

Episode 5 starts with Wanda and Vision adjusting to their new life with their twin boys named Tommy and Billy. There's also a scene where Agnes (Wanda's neighbour) asks Wanda is she needs to start the "scene" again. Vision seems very confused by this and this hints to how Wanda has been manipulating reality.

Similar, but more insightful incident we see is at Vision's workplace where his colleague shows his true identity and tells Vision that Wanda has been in her head for so long.

(Monica's reaction as Jimmy mentions Captain Marvel)

Another quite interesting scene from this episode is the brief mention of Captain Marvel. In that scene, Woo and Monica were talking to each other and Monica says that Wanda was the only one that almost killed Thanos to which Woo argues that Captain Marvel came quite close. Here, Monica's reaction is very confusing as she clenches her jaw and tells Woo she doesn't want to talk about it. Her reaction also make us wonder if Monica was trying to avoid Carol and even several fans noticed that she seemed angry by the mention of Captain Marvel.

(Wanda breaks into S.W.O.R.D. facility to steal Vision's body)

Also, Tyler Hayward labelled Wanda as a "terrorist" and had planned to shot Wanda with a missile as she was holding thousands of people hostage in the hex and Wanda had broken into S.W.O.R.D. facility to steal Vision's body. Later we see that S.W.O.R.D. sends a drone to talk to Wanda but she notices that the drone was armed so Wanda quickly comes out of the hex to confront everyone and threatens them to stay away from her. This scene in particular was so intense, and hats off to Elizabeth's acting, she is incredible and astounding. The pain and anger in Wanda's eyes definitely creates a tension in viewer's heart.

(Monica confronts S.W.O.R.D. outside the hex)

Later Vision also confronts Wanda asking her how she is controlling everything to which Wanda replies that she has no idea how everything started. They also get in a very serious argument. Then the doorbell rings to which Wanda says that she doesn't know who is ringing the bell and Vision doesn't trust her. Wanda opens the door and her brother, Pietro was there. Her brother had died in Avengers: Age of Ultron and the Pietro we see here belongs to another universe of Hugh Jackman's X-Men Series. It remains uncertain as to how this happened but this definitely open doors for the events of multiverse.

(X-Men's Quicksilver played by Evan Peters)
