Justice : a book review
Chad Zunker @chadzunkerauthor is the author of the David Adams legal thriller An Equal Justice, which was nominated for the 2020 Harper Lee Prize for Legal Fiction. He also penned its sequel, An Unequal Defense, and The Tracker, Shadow Shepherd, and Hunt the Lion in the Sam Callahan series.
Runaway justice is a book about a juvenile, an orphan who was tortured at adoption homes. So, he decided to put an end to his struggles and ended up in a much bigger mishap. He was involved or rather say, falsely accused of the murder of a legal victim of FBI. Not only this, the actual criminal has set goons behind him. So surrounded by danger on all sides , he fled. David, his attorney who also had a soft corner for him, decides to free the boy and grant him the freedom and love he deserved. And to do this, he needs to find the 'real culprit'. The book deals with the investigations and whole process of finding the criminal. Now, i miss watching CID on Sony . The book reminded me of that.
Everything about the book is just perfect. The story telling and twists were exactly on point. Not more not less. The language was easy and characters, Oh , how much I love them. The characters were well developed. Just the adequate amount of twists and suspense, which makes the book an interesting read. Brownie points for the cover. I loved this book🌸✨I highly recommend me. It was a five star read for me🥀
2. And the mountains echoed

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤:
The book revolves around the relationship of a brother and a sister; Abdullah and Pari, their tragic separation and how the universe conspires them to meet at last. Along with them, the book also pinpoints various characters entangled loosely with them.
One thing that I loved about the book is , every character has a story of their own;their struggles which makes the book more interesting.
Abdullah, being a child himself, was more a mother to his sister Pari . When Pari was adopted by Wahadatis, he was devastated yet he accepted his fate. This made me realise to accept the situation no matter how hard it may be.
His father Saboor, step mother Parwana and all the other characters have their own stories of guilts and burdens ,which are equally tragic and heart touching in the single book. So that's a plus point.
Along with the storyline, the authors play and trick people with the history of Afghanistan , freedom struggle , and hardships during those times. When the story takes a leap, the scenario of the country after freedom is vividly shown.
The book is bombarded with agony , emotions, love and struggle in every corner. Storytelling is on point and keeps the reader glued. The language is simple ; anyone can read it. All in all, Husseini and his writings do wonders. I suggest everyone read this.
3. Paras and the magical nuts
"God wants us to understand that only through preparation and hard work, luck might smile on you!”
'Paras and Magical peanuts' is a children book , but the 'kid ' in me enjoyed it thoroughly. I read this book to my seven year old cousin (in the picture) and her reaction was so cute and amazing.
Moving ahead with the story, Paras is a school going kid, who gets nightmare; his math teaching being a monster with a menacing smile.(I feel you, boy) Ah, how much i hated math in school. Brownie points for the amazing Popeye references that made me nostalgic.(Now i miss my childhood) This book made me jump with joy . The book has a moral at the end of the book that will immensely help the children to inculcate good habits.
A kid is a gift from god. They are so pure and innocent that you can mould them the way we want. So, the book is perfect for children and my cousin enjoyed it thoroughly.I relived my childhood through the book- bullies snatching away tiffins, the punishments we received, forgetting to do homeworks and the evergreen excuse of 'not bringing the homework copy'.
My cousin's reaction: She was so excited when i approached her. Her eyes beamed with joy as i read the book. She wants to meet Paras now and i promised her to do so, if she continues to be a good girl. She told me, that she will never skip her homeworks and will always be a good girl. She enjoyed it.
I highly recommend this book to kids. Trust me, they will enjoy it. The characters are interesting and the narrative is so well versed. Go for it.
