Earlier this month, the group also did a fun quiz where fans guessed what kind of special stages they will see. The group later revealed that all members will have solo stages. Lisa prepared a special concept stage with choreography and rap. Jennie wrote new rap lyrics for her hit debut single 'SOLO', Jisoo has prepared a special gift for blinks in their 2018 song 'Forever Young' and lastly, Rosé will wear 6-10 outfits and the company also revealed later that she will be performing her unreleased solo song. In addition, the concert will be performed with a live band.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, BLACKPINK revealed that they will be performing 15-20 songs in the concert. Jennie says, “We are rehearsing every day and spending as much time as possible,” adding that a huge-scale production like this requires more than a month of rehearsals. Despite the limitations of interacting with fans due to COVID-19, BLACKPINK says,“Although we are physically in different places, we are connected through the emotions of each stage but safely. We think it will also be a great opportunity for those we haven’t seen our performance during our recent tour. We’re nervous but our expectations and excitement are greater.”
Although YG Entertainment, their music label, declined to provide details surrounding production costs and expected viewership, The Show is clearly a huge priority for the company. Regarding the online concert 'THE SHOW' YG said, "It is a performance that the members have worked hard to prepare for the past two months to present a high-quality performance with the live band, so we hope it will be a good gift to the fans."
